Ronnie and Derek enjoyed investigating a ‘rabbit pie’ ornament. They probably think it’d be a tasty pie, but are having second thoughts now they’ve seen the rabbit popping out!

Some small pieces of concrete and a brick have been added to Ronnie and Derek’s cage, in places where they walk the most, to help wear down their nails (see images below – click to enlarge). Using something like sandpaper as a floor covering for this is not suitable as the rats could graze their feet and get infections.

Ronnie and Derek were fed some pizza crust which they loved. Ronnie tried to steal Derek’s and ended up chasing him around the cage, resulting in a tug-of-war and lots of squeaking – see videos below!
Ronnie and Derek had a bit of a Pringle as a treat. Ronnie had eaten his but Derek was still eating his in the ‘coconut shell’. Ronnie thought he’d try his luck and steal Derek’s, but it didn’t work out.
